"Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be pleased through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen."
-1 Peter 4:10,11
Our congregation offers many opportunities for service and fellowship:
The members of the Church Council regularly consult together concerning the total spiritual and physical well-being of the congregation giving due attention also to the work of the Lord in the Church-at-large.
Board of Elders
The Board of Elders is responsible for the spiritual welfare of the congregation and its individual members. Among other things, the Elders ensure that all teaching and preaching in the church is in accordance with God’s Word.
Our ushers assist the pastor and members before, during, and after the worship service. Any confirmed male members of our congregation are welcome to serve as ushers.
Our Nain Church Choir sings during the worship services on a regular basis, as they lift their voices to the Lord in songs of thanks and praise. They meet regularly on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm to rehearse. Membership in the Church Choir is open to all members of our congregation.
The Lydia Guild is our congregation's woman's group. The Guild serves our congregation in various ways and is always eager to welcome new members.
The Altar Guild serves our congregation by preparing the Church sanctuary for our worship services. They take care of setting up for the Lord's Supper, and order the flowers for the altar.
