"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."

-2 Timothy 3:16,17

Survey of the Minor Prophets

Sundays     9:00 AM     (September 15 - December 15)

All members and friends of our congregation are invited to attend our fall Bible Study on the Minor Prophets.

The Minor Prophets, or the "Book of the Twelve" include the last twelve books of our Old Testament (Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi).  These books of prophecy are so named because they are considerably shorter than the books of the Major Prophets (Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Daniel), not because God's message through them is any less significant.

Bible Study participants will be blessed as we briefly survey the work of each prophet and read a part of each prophecy from the Bible.  We will learn how the LORD used these men to share Law and Gospel with his people; confronting their sin, bringing them to repentance, absolving them, and so restoring them to a right relationship with God.  As we read how these men pointed God's children ahead to the coming Messiah, we too will find comfort in God's promises of forgiveness and new life for his people, fulfilled through our Savior Jesus Christ.

Sunday Bible Study is held in the church nave  from 9:00-9:40 am.  We hope you will join us!

Christian Symbolism

Tuesdays     7:00 PM     (September 17 - October 15)

All members and friends of our congregation are invited to attend our fall Bible Study on Christian Symbolism.

During this study we will focus on the origin and meaning of dozens of symbols used by the Christian Church throughout the centuries.  These symbols will direct us to Scripture in which we will learn more about our Triune God and his gracious work among his people.

Tuesday Bible Study is held in the church fellowship hall from 7:00-8:00 pm.  We hope you will join us!

The Christian Church Year

Tuesdays     7:00 PM     (October 22 - November 19)

All members and friends of our congregation are invited to attend our fall Bible Study on the Christian Church Year.

During this study we will review the history and meaning of each season of the Church Year, as well as the major themes, moods, customs, and other traditions associated with them.  We will also learn how the symbols embroidered on our church's paraments relate to each season and the great truths of our Triune God proclaimed during these times of the year.

Tuesday Bible Study is held in the church fellowship hall from 7:00-8:00 pm.  We hope you will join us!
